About the Founder of Pointfulness
Born on September 11, 1965, in Belgium and educated at Collège Saint-Pierre in Uccle (Brussels) in Latin and Mathematics, my interests have always been split between the humanities and the sciences. This duality led me to pursue a degree in Commercial and Management Engineering at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), from which I graduated in 1988 with high distinction. My graduate thesis and a subsequent market prospecting trip to Latin America for the company Ion Beam Applications marked the beginning of my international career.
In 1989, I chose Chile as my new home, where I established my own company representing the Belgian glass group Glaverbel, now AGC Glass Europe. Over the years, I diversified my business activities into sectors such as food and agribusiness, founding Benexia, a company dedicated to innovative products like chia seeds rich in omega-3.
However, life presented me with critical challenges. In 2008, I faced business betrayals that culminated in my forced exit from the company I had developed for over fifteen years. The following year, an even deeper personal crisis occurred when my daughter fell seriously ill. In 2010, the earthquake in Chile tested my resilience once more. These adversities prompted me to reflect on the meaning of life and the importance of a balanced and fulfilling existence, leading me to write and publish the book Singular Life and the Triangle of Illusions in 2015.
My work is not only a testimony of my journey but also an articulated summary of everything learned about the meaning of life and how to avoid losing oneself in an unhappy existence.
In recognition of my professional trajectory and contributions to foreign trade, I was decorated as an Officer of the Order of Leopold I by the King of Belgium in 2019.
With a deep desire to devote more time to my philosophical side and share my experiences and solutions for facing life's adversities, I founded Pointfulness. This project represents a natural evolution, a structured communication and service based on my experience and motivation to evolve in a different realm, offering guidance and support to professionals, executives, and corporate directors who seek to overcome their own adversities and achieve a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
